Hawks' De'Andre Hunter (knee surgery) out 7-10 weeks
Atlanta Hawks small forward De'Andre Hunter (right knee meniscus surgery) could miss 7-10 weeks, according to team doctors.
Hunter underwent successful knee surgery on Monday and Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk said he'll "hopefully" be back in eight weeks. Hunter has already missed all of February, leading to more opportunities for Kevin Huerter and Cam Reddish. Expect more of the same over the next two-plus months. The Hawks will return to the court on Wednesday for a matchup against the Dallas Mavericks following a three-day break.
Huerter is averaging 29.9 FanDuel points over the last four games without Hunter while Reddish is producing only 13.3 FanDuel points in 28.4 minutes per contest. They will face a Mavericks team on Wednesday that ranks fourth-worst in the league in defensive efficiency.
