Shelvin Mack

Shelvin Mack could enter starting five Tuesday for Jazz

Utah Jazz point guard Shelvin Mack may replace Raul Neto in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Houston Rockets.

What It Means:

Utah coach Quin Snyder gave Mack some high praise following his Jazz debut on Sunday saying, "What we saw from Shelvin last game was very, very good. He distinguished himself immediately as a guy that’s deserving of playing time." It looks like it's just a matter of time before Mack enters the starting five, so he's worth grabbing in most fantasy leagues. Neto and fellow guard Trey Burke are heading in the wrong direction with Mack's arrival.

Mack has the 76th-ranked nERD at -0.4 in 25 games played this season. He's averaging just 4.4 points, 1.8 assists and 1.0 rebound per game, but he did not start a single contest for his former team, the Atlanta Hawks. Mack's 48.6 True Shooting Percentage needs some work, but a change of scenery and a chance to start could help.
