Houston Rockets forward/center Christian Wood (right ankle) says he will return Thursday against the Portland Trail Blazers.
Wood sat out the last week with an ankle issue. "I'm back," the 25-year-old center affirmed. "I feel 100 percent and I'm ready to go tomorrow." DeMarcus Cousins recorded a second straight double-double on Tuesday while filling in as a starter, and he may have earned more playing time even with Wood healthy.
Wood is averaging 44.0 FanDuel points per game this season with a 28.7 percent usage rate, third-highest on the Rockets. He ranks 18th in the NBA in total rebound percentage (17.0) and block percentage (4.3).
