Phoenix gets 20 points from Archie Goodwin in clobbering by Clippers

Phoenix Suns guard Archie Goodwin dropped 20 points versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday with one board, one steal and one 3-pointer in 38 minutes.

What It Means:

Other than the scoring, it was a pretty empty line for the 21-year-old guard, and he shot just 6-of-19 from the field with three turnovers. He came off the bench once again and played off the ball because Phoenix coach Earl Watson wants to use more traditional point guards, but he took advantage of some garbage time. Goodwin should still get plenty of minutes on the tanking Suns moving forward, but he's a low-end asset for now.

Goodwin is averaging 9.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists on 41.0 percent shooting from the field while logging 20.9 minutes per contest. His -4.7 nERD ranks 115th in the league.
