Christian Wood (ankle) ruled out for Rockets on Friday
Houston Rockets forward/center Christian Wood (right ankle sprain) is out for Friday's game against the Detroit Pistons.
Rockets head coach Stephen Silas indicated that Wood will also likely miss Saturday's contest versus the Dallas Mavericks. Wood was able to play through his ankle sprain on Wednesday but it sounds like it swelled up overnight. DeMarcus Cousins will start in place of Wood and there should be more shots for Eric Gordon and Victor Oladipo.
It's only a six-minute sample size, but Oladipo is recording a ridiculous 53.2 percent usage rate and averaging 1.9 FanDuel points per minute when Wood isn't on the floor this season.
