Pascal Siakam sidelined at Raptors practice with groin issue
Toronto Raptors power forward Pascal Siakam (groin soreness) did not take part in Thursday's practice.
What It Means:
Siakam revealed that he's been dealing with a nagging groin issue after Wednesday's loss to the Miami Heat. "My groin’s been bothering me for a little bit, so that was definitely unfortunate," Siakam said. He still managed to score 18 points and shot 46.7 percent from the field but Siakam's status for Friday's rematch against the Heat now appears uncertain.
Siakam is averaging 37.0 FanDuel points per game this season. He's on pace for career-highs in assists (4.7) and rebounds (7.7) per game, but Siakam has regressed from last year in points (18.8), 3-pointers (1.2), steals (0.8), and blocks (0.6). His usage percentage has also fallen from 28.1 to 24.8, per Basketball Reference.
