Warriors waive Jason Thompson Sunday
Forward/center Jason Thompson was waived by the Golden State Warriors on Sunday.
What It Means:
They needed to open a roster spot to acquire Anderson Varejao, but Thompson was expected to be cut all along.
Thompson is averaging 2.1 points and 1.9 rebounds per game in just 6.4 minutes a night. He's earned a 0.8 nERD, which ranks 69th, through 28 games this season.
