Mavericks will sign David Lee, waive John Jenkins
Forward/center David Lee will sign with the Dallas Mavericks on Monday, and the team will waive John Jenkins as a result.
What It Means:
Lee is expected to sign a one-year, $2.1 million deal. He is expected to see minutes as the backup four and five, but he probably won't see enough minutes to warrant consideration in standard leagues.
Lee is averaging 15.7 minutes in the 30 games he's played this season. His per-game numbers are 7.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists on 45.3 percent shooting from the field.
