Magic send Channing Frye to Cleveland, Anderson Varejao going to Portland
Orlando Magic forward/center Channing Frye will be sent to the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Anderson Varejao will head to the Portland Trail Blazers.
What It Means:
The Cavaliers got their stretch four to help space the floor, and Frye should get in the rotation as the eighth or ninth guy. Frye can remain on the wire in almost all leagues, especially with a lower usage rate on a better team. Jared Cunningham is going to Orlando. Cunningham and Varejao are expected to be waived.
Frye has a 0.7 nERD, which ranks 69th, in 44 games played this season. He's averaging 5.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.0 assists per game while posting a 58.6 True Shooting Percentage.
