Derrick Favors signs three-year, $27 million deal to return to Utah
Former New Orleans Pelicans forward/center Derrick Favors is expected to sign with the Utah Jazz on a three-year deal.
Favors returns to Utah on a three-year deal worth $27 million, with a player option in the third year. The 29-year-old played in 51 games for the Pelicans last season, starting 49. The former third overall draft pick in the 2010 NBA draft will return to the team that he spent eight complete seasons with, from 2011-12 to 2018-19.
Favors averaged 9.0 points, 9.8 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 26.1 FanDuel points per game during the 2019-20 season.
