Danny Green reportedly sent to Philadelphia in draft-day trade
The Oklahoma City Thunder have reportedly traded guard/forward Danny Green to the Philadelphia 76ers, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
General manager Sam Presti has been acquiring as many picks as possible in his time in charge of the Thunder, and that continued here. He sent Green and Terrance Ferguson to the 76ers in exchange for Al Horford's large contract, the No. 34 pick in the 2020 Draft, a protected first-round pick in the 2025 draft and the rights to European guard Vasilije Micic. It's not clear if Presti plans to keep Horford or flip him, but if one thing is for sure, it's that the Thunder will have a stockpile of young players for years to come.
In the 2019-20 season for the Los Angeles Lakers, Green averaged 8.0 points on 52.4 shooting inside the arc and 36.7 percent outside it.
