Hawks' Tiago Splitter will have season-ending hip surgery
Atlanta Hawks center Tiago Splitter has elected to undergo season-ending hip surgery.
What It Means:
Mike Muscala and Mike Scott will continue to split Splitter's minutes, but neither guy has any standard league appeal with Al Horford and Paul Millsap healthy. Splitter can be sent to the waiver wire in all settings.
In his sixth season in the league, first with Atlanta, Splitter's 52.3 Effective Field Goal Percentage ties a career-low. He is averaging 5.6 points and 3.3 boards while posting a 1.7 nERD, which ranks 59th.
