Charlotte Hornets small forward Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (torn labrum) will miss the 2015-'16 season, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.
Kidd-Gilchrist will now undergo surgery to repair his torn labrum and won't be back on the court until the 2016-'17 regular season. In response, the Hornets acquired Courtney Lee from the Memphis Grizzlies earlier Tuesday.
Kidd-Gilchrist played just seven games this season, posting a 0.8 nERD, which ranks 68th. He'll finish with per-game averages of 12.7 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. Kidd-Gilchrist's 60.3 True Shooting Percentage is easily the best of his career.
