Pacers, Hawks discussing Jeff Teague-George Hill swap

The Indiana Pacers have reportedly reached out to the Atlanta Hawks regarding a potential Jeff Teague-George Hill trade.

What It Means:

It's an intriguing swap of two former first-round picks who played their high school ball in Indianapolis. Teague's value could take a hit in Indiana as he'd be fighting for touches with Paul George, Myles Turner and Monta Ellis on offense, so this wouldn't be an ideal landing spot for him. The trade rumors have been swirling around Atlanta's big three of Teague, Paul Millsap and Al Horford. At this point, it seems likely at least one of Atlanta's core players is dealt at the deadline. On the flip side, Dennis Schroeder would likely see a boost in value if Teague goes.

Teague ranks 76th with a 0.1 nERD. He is averaging 15.1 points, 2.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists while posting a 48.4 Effective Field Goal Percentage. Hill's 4.0 nERD checks in 40th. He is averaging 13.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists with a 54.1 Effective Field Goal Percentage, which ties his career high.
