Tim Duncan out again for San Antonio
San Antonio Spurs forward/center Tim Duncan (knee) will miss Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat.
Duncan had been upgraded to questionable on Monday, but it now looks like the Spurs will rest him through the break. While San Antonio plays the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, it would be a surprise to see Duncan back for that game with the break looming. David West will continue to start in Duncan's absence.
Despite a career low in minutes played per game, Duncan remains effective when on the court. His 5.2 nERD ranks 31st. He's averaging 8.9 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 blocks per game while posting a 54.4 True Shooting Percentage. In 14 games as a starter this season, West is averaging 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks per game. His 5.8 nERD ranks 26th.
