Jae Crowder hits just one shot in 32 minutes in rough outing for Celtics

Boston Celtics forward Jae Crowder was clearly bothered by his sore right ankle during Friday's win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, hitting just 1-of-9 shots on his way to three points, seven boards, two assists and one 3-pointer in 32 minutes.

What It Means:

Crowder said he felt like he was playing on one leg, and that he probably would have sat out if the Celtics were playing a different team. His three points didn't come until the closing minutes of the fourth quarter. It wouldn't be surprising to see him sit out Sunday's game against the Sacramento Kings, which would likely result in Evan Turner -- who went for a double-double Friday -- returning to the starting lineup.

In his first full season in Boston, Crowder is having a career year, posting highs across the board. He is averaging 14.0 points, 5.1 rebounds, 1.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 1.7 3-pointers per games. His 56.8 True Shooting Percentage and 18.0 Usage Rate are both career highs, as well. His 7.9 nERD ranks 19th in the league.
