Festus Ezeli (knee) out for Warriors until All-Star break
Golden State Warriors center Festus Ezeli (knee) has been ruled out through the All-Star break.
Steve Kerr said the team is being "cautious," and they're bringing in doctors to examine the cartilage issue which has plagued Ezeli. "Sometimes these things aren't easily diagnosed from an MRI," Kerr said. "That's why we're getting more opinions."
Ezeli has been effective off the bench for Golden State, ranking 38th in the NBA with a 4.3 nERD. Marreese Speights is seeing increased run in Ezeli's absence, but he has only managed a -2.2 nERD. It will be a big boost for the Warriors' depth when they get Ezeli back.
