Zion Williamson (right knee soreness) out Tuesday for Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans listed Zion Williamson (right knee soreness) as out for Tuesday's game against the Sacramento Kings.
With the Pelicans eliminated from playoff contention, the team has no reason to risk the health of their stars. That will put a wrap on Williamson's rookie season.
Zion's rookie season wasn't as spectacular as some were hoping from the first overall pick of last year's NBA Draft, but he shined when healthy. Even with the Pelicans heavily monitoring his minutes, he still managed 22.5 points and 6.3 rebounds a game. Conditioning was a concern at times this season, but hopefully Zion will be able to build on the momentum he created in his first NBA season.
