Michael Beasley (COVID-19) reportedly not rejoining Nets
Forward Michael Beasley (COVID-19) will not rejoin the Brooklyn Nets in Orlando for the NBA's scheduled restart, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Beasley tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week and was sent home to quarantine. He would have been suspended for the first five games, but once active, Beasley could have potentially played a meaningful role for a completely depleted Nets squad. Charania said Justin Anderson is a potential candidate to replace Beasley on the Nets' roster. Rodions Kurucs is expected to start at the four for Brooklyn during the restart. Caris LeVert is going to do the bulk of the heavy-lifting on offense.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Nets are tied for the seventh-worst odds (+16000) to win the NBA Championship.
