Nets' Michael Beasley reportedly tests positive
Brooklyn Nets forward Michael Beasley has tested positive for COVID-19 and been sent home to self-quarantine, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Charania adds that Beasley is now uncertain to make the Nets' roster for the restart. If active, Beasley will be suspended for the first five games due to a previous incident. He was actually expected to play a meaningful role for a Brooklyn team that has been decimated by illness and injury. Look for Rodions Kurucs, Justin Anderson, and Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot to take on even more minutes if Beasley doesn't make it. Lance Thomas was also signed to help.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Nets are tied for the seventh-worst odds (+16000) to win the NBA Championship.
