Suns' Devin Booker to see fewer minutes
Phoenix Suns shooting guard Devin Booker is going to play fewer minutes over the rest of the season than he's currently averaging, per head coach Monty Williams.
Williams wants to reduce Booker's risk of injury after the layoff when the Suns are sitting six games out of a playoff spot. Booker was averaging 36.1 minutes per game before the season was suspended. Williams said Ricky Rubio's minutes will also be reduced out of an abundance of caution. Deandre Ayton's usage rate has shot up from 24.3 percent to 32.7 percent this season when both Booker and Rubio are off the floor. Aron Baynes could also be more involved on offense and there figure to be additional minutes for Cam Johnson when Booker is sitting.
Booker is averaging 1.2 FanDuel points per game this season and shooting a career-high 48.7 percent from the floor. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Suns are tied for having the worst odds (+25000) to win the NBA Championship.
