Portland's Carmelo Anthony mentioned as starting small forward candidate

According to head coach Terry Stotts, Portland Trail Blazer forward Carmelo Anthony could start at small forward after Trevor Ariza opted out.

What It Means:

The Trail Blazers are considering shifting Anthony from power forward to the three to ultimately create playing time for Zach Collins. Look for the veteran to ultimately share minutes with Gary Trent Jr. going forward.

Per Rotogrinders Court IQ, in 1088.3 minutes with Ariza off the court this season, Anthony is averaging 0.86 FanDuel points per minute and a usage rate of 23.0%.
