Lou Williams expected to join Clippers in Orlando

Los Angeles Clippers shooting guard Lou Williams is expected to play when the NBA restarts in Orlando later this month, according to coach Doc Rivers.

What It Means:

Rivers stated that "he would be very surprised if [Williams] is not [with the team]", and added that he hasn't heard about any Clippers' players opting out. In June, Williams was undecided and considering opting out, so this is a positive change for the Clippers' outlook when the season resumes. Williams' inclusion on the roster is crucial to the team's chances bringing home an NBA title. He is averaging 18.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 30.6 FanDuel points per game so far this season.

numberFire's models project Williams to average 17.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 0.7 steals, and 1.6 triples with a 45.5 field goal percentage and 36.4 3-point percentage over the rest of the season.
