Lakers finalizing deal with J.R. Smith
The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly finalizing a deal to sign J.R. Smith for the remainder of the 2019-20 season.
This move was widely expected after Avery Bradley announced his intent not to join the team in Orlando. Smith had spent the first part of the season out of the league and is likely just a depth signing at 34 years of age.
It's unclear how much value Smith has to offer for fantasy at this point, especially with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope expected to replace Bradley in the Lakers' starting rotation. The Lakers (+260) have the second-strongest chance of winning the title for this season per FanDuel Sportsbook.
