John Wall (Achilles) will not join Wizards in Orlando
Washington Wizards general manager Tommy Shepard confirmed that point guard John Wall will not join the team in Orlando and will continue to work with his offseason schedule.
Wall was always expected to miss the rest of the 2019-20 season after tearing his achilles tendon in February, but the hiatus did provide some hope that he might return when the season resumed. He should be healthy and ready to play again for the 2020-21 season.
Wall's absence will continue to open up opportunities for Ish Smith, who is projected for 10 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists for a total 22.4 fantasy points when the Wizards return to the court on July 31st.
