Trey Burke reportedly joins Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks have agreed to a deal with point guard Trey Burke, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.

What It Means:

Burke is replacing Willie Cauley-Stein on the Mavericks' roster after the big man opted-out of playing in Orlando. He's unlikely to see much playing time unless someone in the Mavericks' backcourt rotation suffers an injury.

Burke averaged 13.1 minutes in 25 games for the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this season. Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Mavericks have the 11th-best odds (+3800) to win the NBA Championship.
