Nets' Kevin Durant (Achille) confirms season is over
Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant (right Achilles) confirmed he will not play in the 2019-20 season.
"My season is over," Durant confirmed. There was never much hope that Durant would play during the 2019-20 campaign, but the two-time Finals MVP is expected to be near full strength for next season. Look for Spencer Dinwiddie and Caris LeVert to shoulder most of the Nets' offensive load for the 22-team restart in Orlando. Kyrie Irving (right shoulder) reportedly could join the team as an inactive player. Durant will turn 32 in September.
Per FanDuel Sportsbook, the Brooklyn Nets have the 16th-highest odds (+20000) to win the NBA Championship.
