Lonzo Ball almost has 19-point triple-double, Pelicans fall to Lakers

New Orleans Pelicans point guard Lonzo Ball scored 19 points (7-of-15 field goals, 4-of-6 free throws) with 9 rebounds, 9 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, 1 3-pointer, and 3 turnovers in 37.5 minutes of a 122-114 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday.

What It Means:

Ball had his highest scoring output since January and he's recorded a steal and a block in back-to-back games for the third time this season. Ball has also been dishing at a higher rate over the last four games, with 9.5 assists per game in that span.
