Trail Blazers' Jusuf Nurkic (leg) still without timetable
Portland Trail Blazers center Jusuf Nurkic (leg, calf) is still without a timetable or a target date for his return.
Nurkic strained his right calf on January 22 in his first full-contact practice since injuring his leg last season. "It's hard to give hope because there is no dates (for my return), so it's hard to talk about anything," Nurkic said. "I have no dates, so all the rumors, they don't make sense. People are going to say (he's coming back) today, tomorrow, next week, a week later … but I have no dates." Hassan Whiteside will continue starting at center for the Trail Blazers in the meantime.
Whiteside has averaged 50.0 FanDuel points per game since the All-Star break. He's 2nd in the NBA in rebounds per game (14.2) and 1st in blocks (3.1).
