Damian Lillard (groin) not traveling with Trail Blazers to Indiana
Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard (right groin) did not travel with the team for the beginning of their three-game road trip.
What It Means:
Lillard was reportedly going to travel with the team for their three-game road trip, but he will not be making it for Thursday's game against the Indiana Pacers. The expectation is that he will also miss Saturday's game in Atlanta versus the Hawks, but Lillard could return on March 2 against the Orlando Magic at the end of the trip. C.J. McCollum has averaged 32.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 10.7 assists, and 4.7 3-pointers over the last three games with Lillard sidelined. Carmelo Anthony, Gary Trent Jr, and Anfernee Simons have also seen more work.
Lillard is averaging 47.6 FanDuel points per game this season. numberFire's models project him for 26.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 3.1 3-pointers over the rest of the season.
