Hornets' Malik Monk suspended indefinitely for violating NBA anti-drug program
Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Malik Monk has been suspended for violating the anti-drug program.
Monk will remain suspended until he is determined to be in compliance, beginning with Wednesday night's game against the New York Knicks. The NBA announced. Monk scored 8 points (4-of-13 field goals) with 3 assists, 1 rebound, and 1 steal on Tuesday in his first NBA start. The suspension opens up more minutes for Cody Martin and should mean more backcourt work for Devonte' Graham and Terry Rozier.
Monk is averaging 17.6 FanDuel points this season, with 10.3 points, 2.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.5 steals, and 1.1 3-pointers.
