Elfrid Payton (ankle) out again for Knicks on Monday, Dennis Smith Jr. starting in his place

New York Knicks point guard Elfrid Payton has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Houston Rockets with an ankle injury.

What It Means:

Payton has been downgraded from questionable to out and will miss his second game in a row with an ankle injury. Frank Ntilikina, who started in Payton's place on Friday, has already been ruled out with a groin injury. Dennis Smith will start in his place against Houston.
