Andrew Wiggins reportedly traded to Warriors from Timberwolves

The Golden State Warriors have agreed to acquire guard/forward Andrew Wiggins from the Minnesota Timberwolves, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

What It Means:

The Warriors are acquiring Andrew Wiggins, a 2021 protected first-round pick, and a 2022 second-round pick from the Timberwolves in exchange for D'Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans, and Omari Spellman. Wiggins hasn't developed as many expected through his five-plus seasons in the NBA, but he may be able to help better realize some of that unfulfilled potential under head coach Steve Kerr and the Warriors organization. Wiggins figures to be the Warriors' primary offensive option until Stephen Curry (hand) returns.

Wiggins was averaging 36.3 FanDuel points per game for the Timberwolves, with 22.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.9 blocks, and 2.2 3-pointers.
