Nets optimistic Kyrie Irving (personal) will return Wednesday
Brooklyn Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson is "optimistic" that guard Kyrie Irving (personal) will play Wednesday versus the Detroit Pistons.
Irving reportedly left the arena on Sunday and didn't play after hearing about Kobe Bryant's death. He practiced on Tuesday and seems to be on track for Wednesday's contest. Spencer Dinwiddie will likely return to the second unit. Irving is averaging 25.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, 6.4 assists, 2.0 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 2.8 3-pointers over the last five games.
Kyrie is averaging 47.0 FanDuel points per game. numberFire's models project him for 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.5 blocks, and 3.2 3-pointers over the rest of the season.
