LaMarcus Aldridge out for Spurs with thumb sprain in second leg of back-to-back

San Antonio Spurs forward/center LaMarcus Aldridge has been ruled out of Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls with a right thumb sprain.

What It Means:

Aldridge has only missed two other games this season. It's not clear when he injured his thumb, as he scored 10 points with 10 rebounds on Sunday while playing a full workload. Jakob Poeltl will likely make the start in the second leg of the back-to-back set. There could also be more minutes for Trey Lyles and Rudy Gay.

Poeltl averaged 37.5 FanDuel points in two spot starts for Aldridge earlier this season.
