Spurs' Tim Duncan (knee) out Monday against Warriors
San Antonio Spurs center Tim Duncan (right knee soreness) has been ruled out for Monday's game vs. the Golden State Warriors.
Yes, the 40-4 Warriors will be taking on the 38-6 Spurs on Monday, so of course head coach Gregg Popovich will keep one of his marquee players on the sidelines. Expect Popovich to continue monitoring Timmy's workload as we make our way into the second-half of the season, with random rest days becoming common protocol. David West, Boris Diaw and Boban Marjanovic will play more with Duncan out.
Duncan's minutes (24.6) and fantasy value have been trending down over past month with averages of just 8.9 points, 6.5 boards, 2.5 assists, 1.1 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. His 6.6 nERD ranks 19th in the league.
