Mavericks' Dirk Nowitzki (knee) likely to square off against Oklahoma City
Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (knee) is expected to play Friday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Nowitzki went through shootaround without any setbacks. His jersey is hanging in his locker, so it looks like he'll be active tonight. The German's return will send Charlie Villanueva back to the bench.
Nowitzki is making just 39.6 percent of his shots through nine January contests, putting him at 44.9 percent shooting for the year. He's averaging 17.8 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.8 3-pointers through 40 contests this season. His 6.4 nERD ranks 27th in the league.
