Boston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward (hand) is expected to miss six weeks after surgery was performed on Monday.
Hayward is expected to return in late December if his timeline remains around six weeks. Marcus Smart should see a bigger role while Hayward is sidelined.
In eight games this season, Hayward is averaging 18.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 4.1 assists.
