Nuggets to be without Jameer Nelson (wrist) on Tuesday
Denver Nuggets point guard Jameer Nelson (wrist) will not suit up for Tuesday's game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Emmanuel Mudiay should log heavy minutes tonight with Randy Foye seeing some extended run off the bench. Nelson's MRI came back clean, so it looks like the Nuggets are just being cautious here, and we'll consider the veteran point guard questionable for Thursday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies.
Nelson's -5.3 nERD is bad -- it ranks 126th -- but Mudiay's is worse (-14.4, which ranks last). Nelson is averaging 8.1 points, 5.1 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game while posting a career worst 46.6 True Shooting Percentage. We project Mudiay to score 13.0 points, dish out 5.7 assists and grab 4.1 rebounds against the Thunder while shooting an ugly 34.1 percent from the field.
