Rockets' Dwight Howard (back) questionable for Sunday

Houston Rockets center Dwight Howard (back) is questionable to play Sunday against the Indianapolis Pacers.

What It Means:

With Donta Motiejunas (back) out, Ty Lawson serving a suspension, and K.J. McDaniels on a D-League stint, the Rockets could be with just nine healthy bodies tonight if Howard is unavailable. That would result in Terrence Jones and Clint Capela logging heavy minutes, with Montrezl Harrell seeing extended time off the bench. James Harden (who owns a usage rate of 36.0 sans Howard) would also be extremely busy if D12 is forced to spend Sunday's game on the sidelines.

Howard is averaging 13.9 points, 11.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.6 blocks in his 30 games this season. His 3.3 nERD ranks 48th in the league.
