Omri Casspi (back) will not play Tuesday for Kings
Sacramento Kings forward Omri Casspi (upper back soreness) will not play on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks, updating a previous report from earlier.
The Kings are describing the injury as upper-back soreness, which has already sidelined Casspi for one game. The good news is, the injury appears to be relatively minor if he had a chance to play on Tuesday. His minutes should be made available to the likes of Marco Belinelli, Quincy Acy and Kosta Koufos.
Casspi owns a 0.8 nERD this season, which ranks 66th. He's averaging 12.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game while posting a career-high .624 True Shooting Percentage. We project Casspi to average 12.5 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game over the remaining course of the season while shooting 48.9 percent from the field.
