Joe Johnson

Joe Johnson (quad) now questionable for Nets

Brooklyn Nets guard Joe Johnson (left quad strain) is questionable to face the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday.

What It Means:

We initially thought Johnson was simply resting when he sat out of Tuesday's practice after averaging 36.3 minutes per game over his last seven played, but it appears to be more serious than we believed. If he can't go, the Nets are going to be extremely thin on the wing with Bojan Bogdanovic, Markel Brown, Wayne Ellington and Sergey Karasev as options. Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez would be the biggest beneficiaries.

Despite playing well his last two games (twice scoring 20 points or more, which he's done just four times this year), Johnson still owns the third-worst nERD in the league at -11.7. He's averaging 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game while posting a 45.2 True Shooting Percentage, the worst of his career. We project him to score 11.6 points, grab 3.5 rebounds and dish out 3.3 assists against the Raptors while shooting 38.7 percent from the field.
