Al Horford reportedly signing with 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers and forward/center Al Horford, formerly of the Boston Celtics, agreed on a 4-year, $109 million deal, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Pending a sign-and-trade of Jimmy Butler to the Miami Heat, the new-look 76ers are likely looking at a starting unit of Ben Simmons, Josh Richardson, Tobias Harris, Horford, and Joel Embiid next season. The 33-year-old veteran can also play the five whenever Embiid is off the court.
Horford averaged 13.6 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.2 assists, 0.9 steals, 1.3 blocks, and 1.1 triples in 68 games for the Celtics last season.
