Report: Celtics' Kyrie Irving declines player option
Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving has reportedly declined his player option worth $21.3 million for the 2019-20 season, and he will become an unrestricted free agent this summer.
Irving was expected to opt out and it is very possible that he leaves Boston. The Nets, Lakers and Knicks are all possible landing spots in that event.
He averaged 23.8 points, 6.9 assists, 5.0 rebounds and 33.0 minutes per game last season.
