DeMarcus Cousins suffers 'significant' quad injury, 'out a while' for Warriors
Golden State Warriors forward/center DeMarcus Cousins suffered a "significant" quad injury in Monday's Game 2 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and is "going to be out for a while," head coach Steve Kerr said.
Cousins is scheduled for an MRI on Tuesday, but he's believed to have suffered a torn left quad. Per Chris Hayes of Yahoo Sports, there is "faint optimism" that Cousins (quad) could possibly return for the NBA Finals. He suffered the injury in the first quarter on Monday night. Kevon Looney and Andrew Bogut should see more run with Cousins unavailable.
Boogie scored 9 points (4-of-12 field goals) with 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 steal, 1 3-pointer, and 6 turnovers over 21.2 minutes in Game 1, finishing with 22.8 FanDuel points. He only logged 3.9 minutes in Game 2.
