Elfrid Payton (ankle, questionable) not expected to play for Pelicans Thursday
New Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton (right ankle sprain) is questionable to play on Thursday versus the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Payton has been sidelined since January 26 and Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry previously said he will likely be held out until after the All-Star break. Tim Frazier and Frank Jackson should continue to benefit.
Payton averaged 24.8 FanDuel points over 19 games before the injury, with 9.8 points, 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.7 3-pointers per contest.
