The New York Knicks and guard/forward Wesley Matthews have agreed to a contract buyout, reports Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Shams adds that the Indiana Pacers are the frontrunners to sign Matthews. Victor Oladipo (knee) is out for the season and Tyreke Evans has struggled, so Matthews could see a decent role in Indiana.
Matthews is averaging 20.7 FanDuel points through 46 games (45 starts) this season, with 12.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 0.7 steals, and 2.2 triples per outing.
