Dwight Howard (back) expected to sit another month for Wizards

Washington Wizards forward/center Dwight Howard (back surgery) will likely spend another month on the sidelines.

What It Means:

The Wizards said Howard would be re-evaluated in 2-3 months after undergoing surgery on November 30, and it appears he will hit the long end of that timeline. They don't have any incentive to get him back on the court, so Thomas Bryant will likely continue manning the five through at least the All-Star break. Markieff Morris (neck) also remains out, leading to more backup minutes for Jeff Green at center.

Dwight averaged 26.4 FanDuel points through nine games before the injury, with 12.8 points and 9.2 rebounds per contest.
