The Houston Rockets have agreed to trade forward Carmelo Anthony and cash to the Chicago Bulls, reports Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Woj adds that Melo will not play a game for the Bulls. The 34-year-old veteran will be released and become a free agent if no team claims him. Anthony hasn't appeared in a game since November 8.
Melo averaged 23.1 FanDuel points in 10 games (two starts) for the Rockets this season, with 13.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 triples on a 40.5 field goal percentage.
