Kyle Lowry comes close to triple-double in Toronto victory
Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry scored 16 points (4-of-15 field goals, 6-of-9 free throws) with 9 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals, 2 3-pointers, and 4 turnovers in 39.7 minutes of a 111-109 win over the Phoenix Suns on Thursday.
Lowry was initially set to sit out the second half of the back-to-back set, but he wound up suiting up and serving a solid line for owners. The 32-year-old veteran is shooting just 30.9 percent from the field over the past five games, although that comes with 11.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.8 triples. The Raptors host the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.
